£5 in the pot already!

Thank you, Rob Hornby. Even though I explained to Rob that we weren't looking for donations, Rob insisted, so we've £5 in the pot already!

This coming season, everyone should support Rob's new chariblog - me and Kev will be quite happy to get together a couple of hundred pounds to give to our charity of choice. As of 19th April, we have seen a total of 406 goals, and with loads of games yet to come, we should expect that next season we will fly past the £200 mark.

Rob does such outstanding work, and there is only so much that can be given by our friends - we can't expect you to support two chariblogs.

We have decided on the charity we are hoping to give to -- we just need to confirm a few things before it can be 100% confirmed ...

Cash for goals -- every goal = £0.50

Kev expressed an interest in raising a few bob for a deserving charity. We will both pay £0.25 per goal scored at matches we attend, hopefully  achieving  £150-200 over the season.

We will need to look at fixtures a little more closely this coming season - go "goal-whoring" if you'll pardon the expression!

Kev recently lost his Mother-In-Law to cancer, and would be only too happy to donate any moneys to a local/national cancer charity. (Watch this space)
