Charity - so far, so good!

As we enter September, I thought I'd post an update on how the "maggie's" cash for goals project is progressing. We started the pre-season very early, our first game was acutally on the 5th July at Teversal. Since then, "ontheroad" has been to another 30 matches, notching up a staggering 119 goals, with only one score-less game.

This season, we are not asking for donations, but we won't turn any away! So far we have received wonderful contributions totaling £75.00!

The total raised to date is £167.25 - not too bad, and with another almost 9 months of the season to go we expect to top the £500.00 we thought was a reasonable target. Kev also has over £50 to add after his soaking the other week. As soon as those monies are in, I'll list the contributors on here.

My employer, A.N. Wallis & Co Ltd, are also contributing cash per goal - which effectively means we add £0.75 to the pot for each goal scored at games we attend.

31 games / 119 goal / 1 goal-less - fund total thus far £167.25

July - 11 games with 57 goals scored (£42.75)

August - 18 games with 58 goals scored and one game goal-less (£46.50)

September - 2 games with 4 goals scored (£3.00)
