Clipstone had a wonderful August, winning all six of their fixtures. Not bad for a side that has been almost totally rebuilt since Chris Millington took over the managerial reigns at the Worksop Van Hire Stadium.

The Cobras carried their winning streak into September, beating a very strong and talented Bottesford side.

During the first half, the visitors were foiled on numerous occasions by last ditch, sometimes desperate Clipstone defending. H-T 0-0

It took two great pieces of individual skill to win this game for Cliptone, although as a team they worked tirelessly throughout.

With 10 minutes of the second half played, DAN WOOD found space near the penalty spot and keeping his composure, fired into the far corner with the outside of his right foot.

WOOD grabbed the only other goal of the game on 69, this time a solo effort that saw him run at goal from 20+ yards out, holding off defensive challenges before slotting the ball into the same far corner. F-T 2-0
