Shake!
We have seen our local team a few times this season, and thought that it would be a good idea to support them in this CML cup semi final at our old stomping ground, Coronation Park. We used to visit quite often in the "ontheroad" formative years and one bonus today was meeting up with one of our favourite players from those years, namely one Kelvin Mushambi, now skipper and Assistant Manager at Gedling Miners Welfare.
Mushy!!!!!
Hucknall had a couple of early chances, David Leak headed wide from a free-kick as did Johnny Hamilton from a corner, but the football on show was, in all honesty, not very good. Town were the busier team, and Hamilton and Adam Nelson had half chances as the first half dragged on.
Belper rarely troubled Town keeper James Beddingham - and he must have been pleased about that, having rushed to the ground after just jetting back from Australia. Just before the break, Aaron Evans mis-kicked the ball when through on goal, and that just about summed up the first period. H-T 0-0

Over she goes!!!
Just in case you missed the ball!!!
The stalemate was broken five minutes later when a ball into the box was clipped over the despairing dive of Belper keeper Scott Whittingham by ADAM NELSON.
Nelson clips home the 1st Town goal
Scott Slater had a chance to halve the United deficit in the 79th minute after town had failed to clear their lines, but the centre-back fired just wide. Hucknall kept their composure for the remaining few minutes and on balance of play, were deserving winners. They will now play Clifton in the final after the All Whites defeated League Champions Mickleover Royals 3-0 at Pinxton FC. F-T 0-2
