Fifth game, five days, five venues, 25 goals! Three more to go in this mini-marathon - if I complete all 8 games in 8 days at 8 venues, I'm going to add £8 to the charity fund.
Arranged to meet Danny "Mr. Kimberley MW" Staley at the ground and between us we managed to sort out who scored which goal and at what time. 9 goals is a lot to keep track of!!

It soon became apparent why Holbrook were bottom of the pile - after just 2 minutes they allowed Johnny Hamilton to run through their defence, and only a smart stop from keeper Dan Waddington kept the striker out. Two minutes later Hamilton was again allowed half of the pitch to run into, and again the Mikes had to thank their keeper who did well to challenge and hack the ball away. It was third time lucky for JOHNNY HAMILTON on 15 - this time the striker made no mistake, slotting home after he was yet again played in through the home back line.
Hamilton and Niall Thompson combined well on 18 and the visitors had to thank Fenwick Butcher for blocking Thompson's eventual shot. Hucknall went further ahead from the resultant corner - a defender somehow lobbed his own keeper giving DAVID LEAK the simple task of prodding the ball home from close range.
Leon Aikman smashed a fierce drive against the post soon after, and when the rebound fell to James Rigg, we expected the net to bulge again, but the Town no. 4's shot flew way over the bar. Town went further ahead on 23 when NIALL THOMPSON was allowed to run through on goal and casually side-stepped Waddington before rolling the ball over the line.
The next goal was the best of the lot - Ellliott Pitt's superb ball into the area was met first time with the outside of his boot by THOMPSON - and the ball flew into the back of the net, giving Waddington no chance. H-T 4-0
The same defensive frailties showed through again for the Mikes on 52, again allowing a Yellows' forward to run through their line and score - this time substitute ADAM NELSON the benefactor.
LEON AIKMAN saw his well struck shot well saved by Waddington on 66, but he did get on the scoresheet soon after, converting from the spot after Town were awarded a penalty. THOMPSON completed his hat-trick on 82, firing a speculative shot from 25 yards that ended up nestling in the far corner of the net.
Montel Gatland showed his pace down the right, cruising past a defended before firing the ball across the goal to where NELSON was waiting to tap home his second. GATLAND added his name to the list of scorers right on full-time, driving the ball home from 15 yard after latching on to Thompson's neat ball in from the right. F-T 9-0
