Please ignore the date on the programme - this game was scheduled for last Tuesday, but floodlight problems saw this cup final delayed by a week. We weren't too sure of the standard of football we should expect, but it soon became clear that this was a contest between two teams who play in the Notts Senior League bottom tier for a reason! Three fine goals, but all in all, not a game to etch itself into the memory.

Shake

The games first chance of note came in the 24th minute - Danny Walsh heading just wide of the post when it looked easier to score. Seconds later Shaw Hutchinson also headed wide as Kimberley at last began to make inroads into the Rovers' defence.

Close, but no cigar!

We had to wait until the 44th minute for the games first goal though, a cracking free kick from SHAW HUTCHINSON that flew past the defensive wall and into the back of the net, despite keeper Adam Revuelta getting a hand to it. H-T 1-0

Great to see Julian Topliss back in action

Chris Coleman was the creator of the second goal in the 57th minute - his superb pass from the left curled into the path of JOHN WHITEHURST, who beat the keeper in a race to the ball, then clipped it around him before rolling it into an empty net. That was the end of the action until the 87th minute when DANNY WALSH was played in on goal and after racing into the box calmly stotted the ball across the keeper to bag at the far stick. F-T 3-0
