It was a busy afternoon at Eastwood CFC, not only was there a match on, there was an Easter Party in the clubhouse - and it was packed! Quite a few of the party-goers came outside to watch some of the game, making the job of doing a head count virtually impossible. Best estimate though would be 40-50 actually seeing out the 90 minutes.
Andy Ingle
I've not seen ladies football at this level before - and although it wasn't brilliant, it didn't put me off from going to watch at this level again. Not a fan of club linesmen, but it is what it is and makes two less officials to pay, I suppose.
Georgie Herring in action
The Grimsby keeper had a bad day at the office, and will have to admit to having assists for three of the Eastwood goals. The first goal came in the 8th minute, a GEORGIE HERRING corner from the right turned into the goal at the near post by the visiting keeper. Have to give the goal to the Eastwood no. 11 though - as boss Andy Ingle said, quite rightly, that the keeper would not want it. Herring was the provider for Eastwood's second goal on 23, firing in a superb cross from the left that beat the keeper and was met at the far post with a firm header from MONICA BOWLEY. H-T 2-0

With 9 minutes of the second half played, the home team added their third, and they have to once again, thank the visiting keeper who mis-kicked a clearance on the edge of the box straight to JODIE ELLIS, giving the striker the simple task of rolling the ball into an empty net.
JAYDE SLEIGHT reduced the visitor's deficit 4 minutes later, the ball nestling in the far corner of the net after she fired it across keeper Alix Newton from the corner of the area. JODIE ELLIS netted again midway through the half, sliding the ball across the hapless visiting custodian after she had opted to kick the ball away rather than pick it up - another Easter present for the Eastwood no. 9. F-T 4-1
